Robinson - I feel used

United accepted a £3.25 million fee from Aston Villa, but Robinson has yet to decide on the move to join former boss David O'Leary claiming he his happy at Leeds.

"The previous chairman of Leeds, Peter Ridsdale, contacted my agents, the SEM Group, just before he left the club suggesting I should be signing a longer, improved contract which I was more than happy to do," Robinson said in todays Sun.

"After Prof McKenzie took over, my agents simply asked if that offer was still in place and were told it was not.

"So suggestions that I demanded a new contract are totally untrue.

"Also, as I had not asked for a new contract, I was not too disappointed that I was not being given one.

"This chairman has been running Leeds United for a few months, but I have never even met him or discussed my future with him.

"He is just trying to make himself look popular at my expense, and I feel disgusted by the way he is treating me and trying to turn supporters against me. I feel used.'
