Reid upset with defensive display

United are six points clear of the third from bottom side, West Ham, but Reid won't dismiss the possibilities of being sucked in to a relegation dog-fight until Leeds are mathematically assured of Premiership safety.

"There is only one way we will be safe and that's when mathematically we can't go down," said Reid.

"From our point of view the goals were poor.

"There was a flick-on from a corner to the back stick, which is about basic defending.

"Then for the second, which is a great goal for Tottenham, our tackling left a lot to be desired.

"When you are facing a player like Robbie Keane you've got to stay on your feet, but we paid the penalty.

"We've just got to stop conceding daft goals. They were terrible goals to give away.

"With the players we've got up front we are always likely to score, but defensively we have got to tighten up.

"If we can get clean sheets from here on in then we can win games."
