Reid Still On The Look Out

Particularly attracting the boss is Marseille midfielder Solomon Olembe, one of the youngest ever players to appear in the World Cup finals when he appeared for Cameroon at the age of 17 in the France '98 tournament.

The 22-year-old has already won two African Nations Cup finals with Cameroon and finished joint top scorer in the 2002 competition.

Olembe though has seen a successful time at Marseille turn slightly sour after being moved from his preferred position in centre-midfield to right-back.

He is currently not in the Marseille side and is eager to secure a move elsewhere, however, both Spanish side Real Valladolid and Middlesbrough are understood to have failed to lure him.

Confirming his interest to leedunited.com, Reid admitted the midfielder was one of his prime targets.

"I would be interested, it's one we looked at and I don't think he's playing over there at the moment so there's a possibility."

Reid is well aware though that he is not the only club chasing the Cameroon star, with Espanyol having made a move, but is not about to drop his interest.
