Reid: Happy The Way It's Going

Leeds travel to The Walker's Stadium full of confidence after winning their last game at Middlesbrough thanks to a late goal from Mark Viduka.

Reid is confident that Leeds will do better than many people predicted at the start of the season, mainly due to the way a number of his new signings have started.

Lamine Sakho has been a real find, and loan star Jermaine Pennant had a hand in all three goals at The Riverside to give Leeds fans a taste of what's to come from him.

Reid also has Brazilian World Cup winner Roque Junior and Cameroon midfielder Salomon Olembe to come into the squad.

The win over Boro though has created a great atmosphere in training.

"The dressing room is a fantastic place to be right now, but we need to move on from that game now," said Reid.

"But I'm very happy with the way it's going at the moment, hopefully this is something we can build on and can be the start of going on a run and winning football matches."

"When you look at the team with Sakho in it there's pace there, we had lost that when Harry went and that's what I was looking for, and then you've got someone like Lennon to come in and he really has got pace.

"If I can keep putting him on in cameo roles, he will cause defenders problems because he's hard to defend against when he comes at you with pace.

"As a team I think we can get better, I have to say that."

Reid has also praised the attitude of striker Mark Viduka, who although unsettled at the start of the season, has put talk of a move behind him and has shown his commitment with two goals so far this season.

"As soon as he went through I said 'goal'," remarked Reid on the Aussie star's goal at the Riverside.

"I think it typifies Mark Viduka. He wants to score goals, and whatever is said or written about him he is a finisher and that's why he's a massive bonus for this football club."
