Reid blames individual errors

United are now just three points in front of third bottom West Ham, who won at Man City on Sunday, and their Premiership status is seriously in question if they continue to concede goals at the current rate they are doing so.

Since Reid took over six games ago, Leeds have conceded an alarming twelve goas and kept a clean sheet just once!

"I keep going on about giving goals away and not defending properly," Reid said after the 3-2 defaet at Elland Road.

"I sound a bit like a stuck record, but the goals we gave away in this game were poor.

"We played some decent stuff at a high tempo, created chances and got a good lead, but then individual errors crept in.

"What you can't do is put your hand up in the penalty box and give a penalty away, get beaten by a simple bouncing ball in the middle of the park and fail to pick up a free man at the back stick at corners.

"You've got to deal with those kind of things at this level. You can't afford to do what we are doing, and that's give goals away.

"When you score two at home it should be enough, while my keeper has not had a save to make apart from the one which still led to their second goal.

"I thought we did enough to get something out of the game, but we can't keep making elementary mistakes at this level."
