Subject to any late changes Premiership official Dean will take charge of the Coca-Cola Championship Play-off Final between Leeds United and Watford this coming Sunday.

The Wirral born Dean has been a member of the Premiership panel since 2000, enjoying a meteoric rise up the ranks after joining the Football League as assistant in 1997.

He was due to referee the FA Cup Final on Saturday between Liverpool and West Ham but was replaced due to his Merseyside connections.

The 37-year-old has officiated two games involving the Whites this season, the victories at Burnley in October (2-1) and at home to Leicester City at the beginning of December (2-1).

Dean booked Shaun Derry, Sean Gregan and Rob Hulse at Turf Moor along with three Burnley players and he booked Gary Kelly against Leicester, sending off City's Patrick McCarthy and booking another Leicester player.

Also on the Fifa referee's list, Dean has refereed the 2004 FA Community Shield, and last month's Premiership clash between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Dean will be joined by G.Ward and M.Yearby as his assistants at the Millennium Stadium.
