Pick And Share Your Leeds XI To Face Brentford

Leeds United travel to face Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday evening with the aim of kick-starting their stalled season.

After a positive start, the Whites have fallen away from the Championship’s automatic promotion places and are in dire need of a win. Thomas Christiansen’s side have lost six of their last eight league games.

Along the way, they have scored just nine goals and conceded 14. Following their latest loss, a 2-1 defeat at home to Derby on Tuesday night, the manager stated:

“We need the win on Saturday against Brentford. That is sure. It cannot go on like this. I try to do what I can and it’s difficult if you get situations which could have changed the direction of the game. I’m satisfied with the team. We need to continue and give it even more now.”

Eight points off the top two and two off the top six, Leeds will be desperate to record three points against Brentford.

And the good news is they are likely to have a full squad available to select from.

Liam Cooper should return after missing out against the Rams through injury.

He could partner towering Swede Pontus Jansson in central defence, with Luke Ayling joined in the full-back roles by Vurnon Anita or Gaetano Berardi, who is back from a 3-match suspension.

Christiansen needs to find his best midfield within his preferred 4-2-3-1 setup. Eunan O’Kane, Ronaldo Vieira, Kalvin Phillips and Mateusz Klich are all options to take up the two central roles, while Samu Saíz will take up the No.10 role.

Our unique algorithm has predicted the Leeds side it believes is most likely to start the game, which kicks off on Saturday at 5:30pm and can be watched on Sky Sports Football.

Football Whispers uses data to predict the starting line-ups for sides by accounting for a number of different factors, including injuries, suspensions, the statistical likelihood to play, the match the competition is played, the player’s previous performance and the style of the opposition.
