Charles died last month promping calls from supporters to both Leeds United and Leeds City Council for a permanent memorial.

United have already renamed the old West Stand the 'John Charles Stand', but at an open forum held at Elland Road on Thursday evening, the new chairman revealed the creation of the 'Leeds United Association Charity Trust'.

The charity, inspired by John Charles, will also deal with social issues locally.

"The object of this trust is to raise money for charitable purposes, in the footballing and general community of Leeds for underprivileged young people and footballers who may have fallen on hard times," said Krasner to the official Leeds website.
