Pennant: It's A Big Family Here

Pennant, whose stunning goal in the 18th minute shocked the Premier League leaders Chelsea, said: "Trevor came down and told us about the financial side. He said there was not a lot to worry about and that we would soon get out of the slump. His words had a positive effect.

"It was good to hear that we are not going to go into administration. It was good for the team and we're now on a great high.

"I do feel for the lads that are here, and although I'm only on loan, I still feel I'm a part of things," added Pennant, now coming towards the end of his fourth month loan.

"If the club did go into administration then it would be the same for me. It's a big family here, so if it affects them then it affects me."
