Wenger has given Leeds permission to play Pennant tomorrow at Elland Road against The Gunners, where he will probably come face-to-face with pal Ashley Cole.
Pennant said in The Sun: “Playing against Ashley will be a bit like being in a training session. It’s going to be weird.
“We know each other very, very well but you’ve got no friends on the football field.
“I was frustrated at Arsenal as all you want to do is play and when you’ve got great players in front of you, there’s nothing you can do.
“But at Arsenal I wasn’t really on the bench. I was just a reserve and it’s hard to accept that when you score a hat-trick you’re dumped back into the reserves.
“But my loan spell here is going great. I cannot wait for the weekend to come around.”
