Arsenal thrashed Leeds 4-1 at Elland Road on Saturday to extend their unbeaten Premiership run to 29 matches and Dacourt was full of admiration for The Gunners.

"Real won the Champions League and are the benchmark for the whole of Europe but I'm sure that, if Arsenal played them now, they would beat them," said Dacourt.

"Yes, I honestly do believe, on present form, Arsenal are the best.

"In the Premiership nobody can touch them. Everybody is fighting to be second.

"They're the best team in England by far and they proved it here.

"Everything about them is so good. They play with pace, skill and simplicity. They pass and move, create chances and score goals out of nothing."
