The Aussie signed for Leeds in August 2003 under then manager Terry Venables.

He fell out of favour under new manager Peter Reid who released him on a free transfer.

The former Oceania Player of the Year spent last season playing for Belgian side Oostende.

However, now he’s on the brink of retirement. Okon said: "I'm exhausted and seriously considering calling it a day. I think it has been enough for me after a career of 14 years. I'm leaving for Australia next week. I will decide my future with my family but if I do continue my career, it will be at Oostende."
