The new sponsorship deal, following Strongbows decision not to renew their agreement, is valued at a guaranteed £3million - with performance related bonuses which could see the figure rise to £6.5m over the three year term.

Leeds chairman, Professor John McKenzie told the clubs official website: "Leeds United and our commercial advisors Sky, are delighted to be the football club Whyte and Mackay has decided to back as shirt sponsors in the premier league.

"The three year deal reflects a substantial commitment from them and also highlights the belief that so many people have in the future of the club."
