The 27-year-old striker signed a new five-year-deal, keeping him at Elland Road until the summer of 2026.

Bamford joined the club in July 2018 from Middlesbrough and since arriving in West Yorkshire, has scored 43 goals in 111 matches.

Bamford was restricted to 25 appearances in his first campaign, due to injury, but went on to play a key role in helping United win the Sky Bet Championship in his second season, featuring in all but one of Leeds’ 46 league matches, with the Whites winning the division by 10 points.

In the club’s first campaign back in the top-flight in 16 years last season, Bamford hit 17 goals in 38 Premier League outings, including a stunning hat-trick against Aston Villa.

His fine performances helped the Whites finish in ninth spot and led to calls for him to be involved in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad, which he narrowly missed out on.

He joins fellow teammates Stuart Dallas and Illan Meslier in pledging his future to the club this summer.
