Leeds have confirmed that they have offered Norwegian international Eirik Bakke a new 5-year contract.

Ridsdale wants Bakke to stay
"Eirik is the type of player we want at Leeds," said Leeds chief Peter Ridsdale.

"We don't like any of our players to have less than two years on their contracts and Eirik falls into that category.

"We are delighted to offer him this deal as he has proved to be a quality player for us and this is a reward for his services to Leeds United."

The 24-year old is expected to put pen to paper on the new deal before the start of next season.
