Morris Motors His Way To Leeds

Morris was to be unveiled as a Cardiff City player yesterday after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms, but had a change of heart once Leeds made their interest known at the 11th hour.

The 24 year-old, Fulham born midfielder, was a product of Chelsea's youth system making his debut in February 1996, six weeks after his 17th birthday. He made 173 appearances for The Blues, scoring 9 goals but was released at the end of last season after making only 82 League games in the last 7 years.

Morris looked destined for full international honours for England but due to various reasons on and off the pitch his career faltered and instead he's been linked with moves to Nationwide clubs.

This could be his final chance to establish himself in the Premiership, which can only be good for Leeds, as on his day he is a creative midfielder, combining great passing and vision with an excellent work ethic. All this and a free transfer too!

Morris has already agreed personal terms, believed to be around £10k per week on a two-year deal, and once he finalises his medical today will possibly link up with the squad for tomorrow's friendly at Bristol City.
