Morris, who appeared with co-defendant Kristofer Dickie, 26, spoke only to confirm his name.

A court spokeswoman said today's hearing was to set a timetable for the preparation of papers and schedule a new hearing for March 10th.

Leeds have said the 24-year-old will not be suspended during the court case.

Leeds United said today that officials had met Morris and his lawyer and he had reconfirmed his denial of the allegations.

"In English law there is a presumption that a person is innocent until proven guilty," United said in a statement. "In these circumstances and as a responsible employer, the club feels that the proper course of action is to allow the player to resume his duties pending the conclusion of the legal proceedings."
