Morris Drink Shame

The former Chelsea star had his £15k-a-week contract torn up last Saturday by ‘mutual consent’.

However, it has been claimed that the real reason he left Leeds was because staff were concerned by his performance in training last week. He was breath-tested and found to be over the drink-driving limit.

The club had been supporting the player, whose career has been plagued by a series of disciplinary incidents, after sexual charges against him were dropped in January.

It is now alleged Morris, 25, got his cards after failing to heed final warnings to clean up his act.

His last senior appearance was in Leeds’ 3-0 home defeat by Middlesbrough two months ago. He made just 12 appearances for The Whites.
