The Sunday Express is reporting that internet tycoon Peter Wilkinson is considering a bid to buy Leeds United from Ken Bates.

Wilkinson has previously denied wanted to invest in Leeds, with the founder of Freeserve saying "I am never, ever buying Leeds United."

However it is now believed that Wilkinson is interested in buying Leeds and bringing the glory days back, having seen the club hit rock-bottom in the second tier of English football recently.

Leeds-born Wilkinson is estimated to be worth in the region of £250m and has been a fan of the Elland Road outfit since he was a boy.
