Moore was one of the club's highest earners according to the Daily Mail, reportedly earning over £5,000p/w. This has prompted financially-impaired Leeds to offload the Birkenhead-born striker.

Moore was signed for £50,000 from Burnley by former United manager Kevin Blackwell in 2005, however Moore failed to hold down a first team place under both Blackwell and current Whites boss Dennis Wise.

Moore took to the field 47 times for Leeds however he managed to find the scoresheet just twice in his entire League career at Elland Road - his first two goals both coming in a 3-1 League Cup victory over Barnet this season, before finding the scoresheet in the League against Southend United and Stoke City.
