Mills Not For Wolves

The England international has been discarded by Peter Reid and was not even included in the squad for Sunday's draw with Newcastle United, but Wolves insist they are not about to sign the player.

After Saturday's 5-1 defeat at Blackburn it was rumoured that they wanted a new recruit to stiffen a leaking defence.

"It is completely untrue that we are going for Danny Mills," the club's chief executive Jez Moxey told the Express and Star.

"He has not been offered to us by Leeds. He is someone we spoke about two months ago, but that's as far as it went."

Ironically enough, he was chosen for the England squad for this Wednesday's friendly against Croatia at Ipswich's Portman Road ground.
