Jody Morris was Reid's first official signing and he has been joined on loan by Zoumana Camara, Jermaine Pennant, Lamine Sakho, Didier Domi, Cyril Chapuis, Salomon Olembe and Roque Junior.

Sakho has already opened his scoring account along with Camara and Pennant has made an impressive start to his United career.

Matteo said: "They all have a great attitude and work very hard in training. They all give 100 per cent to the team and have fitted in really well. They are good guys.

"We are trying to teach them a few words of English though not the sort of ones I want to tell you!

"Roque Junior is a great signing. We need cover in a lot of positions. He has won the World Cup and is a young guy with a lot of ability. He will bring another dimension to the team."

Reid's new revolution has seen Teddy Lucic, Jacob Burns, Harry Kewell, Olivier Dacourt, Paul Okon and Nigel Martyn all leave Elland Road with Matthew Kilgallon, Danny Mills, Stephen McPhail and Harpal Singh moving out on loan.
