Cooper, son of Leeds great Terry, could not praise his team Tamworth's performance enough against League One side Bournemouth after their 2-1 victory in the FA Cup.
The victory sees Nationwide Conference team Tamworth through to the second round proper in only the second time in the clubs history where they will come up against Hartlepool.
"The team talk was basically go out there and try and get on Match of the Day," Cooper joked on the Tamsworth website, "We were solid and played exactly to our game plan. It would have been pointless trying to chase the game so we allowed them to play with the ball at their feet and then cut out the danger in the last third, hoping for an opening. To be brutally honest the best we had hoped for was a draw, but a little bit of luck and lots of hard work gave us the rewards."
Cooper previously played in the Conference for Forest Green after League experience with half-a-dozen clubs, including Birmingham City, Exeter and Hartlepool.
