It was speculated pre-season that the striker had grown unsettled at the club, expressing his concern at the recent departure of key players.

The Aussie scored in Tuesday night's international against Ireland to add to his first goal of the season against Newcastle to show he is on good form carried over from last season.

Peter Reid is keen for the former Celtic man to stay at Elland Road, and will want the striker concentrating on his play and not his future.

"Peter Reid has said that I still have a future at the club and our ruck is over and forgotten now.

"I'm happy that he has said that but I'm not prepared to talk about what it means in terms of my future at Leeds.

"To be honest, I'm just glad that the summer is over and that the season has started because there has been a lot of speculation going around and the club had been unsettled for the last few months. "
