Macca Puts Deano Link To Bed

Hull striker Dean Windass was reported to have been set to join Leeds on loan last week, but McAllister states he would look to strengthen in other areas before adding more forwards to his squad.

"Dean's in fantastic condition and if we were looking to strengthen in that area of the park he would be an ideal candidate," McAllister said on LUTV.

"But if I was to look at anything it would be in other areas of the park at the moment." McAllister added:

"We saw Deano a lot at Thorp Arch last week and people have been putting two and two together and making five.

"He played in a behind-closed-doors match against a Leeds XI on Monday and was back on Tuesday watching his son in an under-15s tournament."
