Initial worries that he had broken a finger in the warm-up at Peterborough have proved incorrect.

The 30-year-old missed the 2-0 defeat and was replaced by Casper Ankergren in goal amid fears he had suffered a break that could rule him out for weeks.

However, an x-ray has revealed that the injury was not as bad as first feared and Lucas returned to training along with the rest of his team-mates.

The former Preston and Sheffield Wednesday 'keeper could now come into contention for the Wednesday night trip to Rotherham United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy second round.
