Sky Sports have confirmed that the opening-day Championship meeting with Burnley at Elland Road, in Uwe Rosler’s first competitive match in charge, on Sat, August 8 will now kick off at 12.30pm and be screened live.

United’s home derby with Sheffield Wednesday on Sat, August 22, has also been selected for Sky coverage, also with a lunch-time kick-off of 12.30pm.

Also Leeds’ trip to Derby County on Sat, August 29 has been brought forward to a 12.05pm kick-off, with Sky to also screen the game.

All of United’s games in league and cup in August have seen their date or kick-off time change, with the game at Reading now taking place on Sun, August 16, (3pm), while the meeting against promoted Bristol City at Ashton Gate has been put back 24 hours to Wed, August 19.

So The Whites will have not one traditional 3pm kick-off on a Saturday in August.
