Lewis Jets Off To Ohio

Winger Lewis, 31, will spend five days at the training camp in Cleveland, Ohio, and report back to Leeds just four days before the final at the Millennium Stadium, after a round trip of over 7,000 miles.

Kevin Blackwell confirmed: "Eddie will be back with us on May 16. It was part of an agreement with FIFA to secure his release, so it's just one of those things. Hopefully Eddie will come back okay."

Californian Lewis will fly out to rejoin the American World Cup squad immediately after the final.

He said: "I've got nothing to complain about. I'll probably look back in a few years and wish I'd had more experiences like this."
