Lennon May Be World Cup Bound

England boss Sven Goran Eriksson is due to watch the 19-year-old Tottenham starlet at West Ham today.

And a decent performance could guarantee Lennon is named in England's 27-man provisional squad tomorrow, report the Sunday Mirror, Sunday People and News of the World.

Lennon has developed through the England junior setups and was the youngest player to appear in the Premiership when he made his Leeds debut at White Hart Lane aged just 16years and 129 days.

The only surprise in his career to date is that Leeds sold him to Spurs last summer for just £1m.

But taking a youngster who only celebrated his 19th birthday last month to the World Cup on the back of 20 League starts for Spurs will be a massive risk.
