• This is the first-ever meeting of Leeds and Lincoln outside the Football League.

• Leeds have a 50% winning record against the Red Imps, having won six of 12 encounters, with three drawn and three lost.

• It is 49 years since the sides last met, Leeds winning a Second Division contest 7-0 in April 1961.

Leeds

• This is the seventh successive season Leeds have participated in the first round. They have never been knocked out in the first round, and were last eliminated in their opening round in 2002.

• Leeds have lifted the League Cup trophy just once in their history, in 1968. Don Revie's side beat Arsenal 1-0 at Wembley courtesy of a Terry Cooper winner.

• Manager Simon Grayson won the League Cup in 1997 as a player with Leicester. Grayson guided Leeds to the third round last season, before losing to Liverpool.

Lincoln

• Defeat would mean the Imps go out at the first round stage for the fifth season running.

• Crewe were the last club they knocked out of the competition, in 2005.

• They have made it to round two just once in the last 13 seasons.

• The Sincil Bank club achieved their club record run in the League Cup in 1968, when they qualified for the fourth round.
