Leeds United Official Statement On Rosler

Last updated : 19 October 2015 By .

Leeds United can confirm that Uwe Rosler has parted company with the club.

Rosler leaves with the club’s best wishes following a five-month stay at Elland Road.

Saturday’s defeat to Brighton proved to be his final game in the United dugout, and the process to appoint a new head coach is now underway.

Chairman Massimo Cellino said: “I would like to thank Uwe for the effort and commitment he showed during his time here. He was incredibly professional throughout and we had a strong working relationship.

“Unfortunately, results didn’t work out for him here and we are now looking elsewhere. Uwe leaves on good terms and everybody at Leeds United wishes him well for the future.”

Rosler’s assistant, Rob Kelly, and first-team coach, Julian Darby, have both been placed on gardening leave.

A further announcement will be made on leedsunited.com in due course.
