Leeds To Miss Out On Miller?

United and Sunderland were in the race to sign the 26-year-old but an unnamed Premiership club have come in with an offer, and the Ipswich midfielder looks set to agree terms elsewhere.

Blackwell has been in talks with the player for some weeks but was today resigned to missing out. Blackwell said: "I had a chat with Tommy yesterday and he has some other options that he is keen to explore. I'll be disappointed not to have him, he would have been a great addition to the squad, but it's down to him."

Miller is out of contract at Ipswich and was believed to be ready to join Leeds ahead of Sunderland until the move was hijacked. The player is now understood to be considering his options again, but Blackwell is set to turn his attentions elsewhere as he looks to strengthen for the new season.
