"Their slump is a disaster for such a great club, with their passionate fans and great tradition. For it to happen in the time it has is alarming.
"Leeds need to be in the Premiership, and the Premiership needs Leeds because they have such a great following. I was captain of the club for four years and I thought they would dominate the Premiership with clubs like Manchester United for a while. It is a great surprise to see where the club has gone. It's very sad and disturbing."
