Jonathan Howson fired over the crossbar of Bolton keeper Sam Ashton in the first half whilst Ian Moore headed straight at Ashton at the start of the second half in Leeds’ two best chances of the game.
Ashton then later saved well from Danny Pugh after he had fired in a shot from 25-yards.
Leeds had another chance that fell to Dan Harding, playing on the left wing, with Ben Parker at left-back.
