Leeds Promotion Next Season, But Possibly Without Becks - Lorimer

Writing in his weekly column in the YEP, Lorimer says: 'If Jermaine Beckford goes, and my gut feeling is that he probably will, then some work will be needed up front, but this is as stable a platform as we've had to build on for many years.

'The fans deserved promotion as much as anybody connected to this club, and as we go forward from here everyone at Elland Road has to appreciate that we owe the fans big-style for the backing they've given us.

'It's normal to feel disappointment when a big prize goes begging, but they're a good indication of the fact that we're on the rise again. By this time next year, I'm absolutely certain that we'll be back in the Championship.'
