Leeds predicted lineup vs Chelsea - Premier League

Leeds head into Wednesday's visit of Chelsea knowing their Premier League survival is no longer in their own hands.

Defeat last time out against Arsenal saw them drop into the relegation zone, and as well as the dropped points, Leeds also lost Luke Ayling to a foolish red card which will leave Jesse Marsch scrambling to name a solid defence.

Here's how the boss could set up.

GK: Illan Meslier - The young Frenchman remains a bright hope for the future but needs to add to his five clean sheets soon if Leeds are to survive.

RB: Diego Llorente - Ayling's suspension and Stuart Dallas' long-term injury have given Leeds a massive problem at right-back. Llorente is the most natural option to fill in.

CB: Robin Koch - A regular under Marsch, the only question is whether Koch plays at the back or in midfield.

CB: Pascal Struijk - Liam Cooper should be back in contention after shaking off a knee issue but expect Marsch to opt for Struijk here.

LB: Junior Firpo - Firpo is the only natural left-back in the squad, with young Leo Fuhr Hjelde featuring on the bench last time out.

DM: Kalvin Phillips - It's crunch time for Leeds and they're going to need Phillips' big-game experience to help them through it.

DM: Mateusz Klich - Klich has been in and out of the squad in recent weeks but, with Adam Forshaw out, will likely be called on for his experience. Former Chelsea youngster Lewis Bate replaced him at the weekend and could see some minutes against his boyhood side.

RM: Raphinha - With just two home games left of the season, this could be Raphinha's penultimate game at Elland Road if Leeds can't escape the drop.

AM: Rodrigo - Had a hot spell in front of goal earlier in Marsch's reign and should return to the position in which he got those goals.

LM: Jack Harrison - Leeds' second-top scorer with seven goals, Harrison has tried his hardest to avoid this late-season scare.

ST: Dan James - Patrick Bamford is not yet fully fit so expect James to return up top.
