Leeds May Make Petta Buy

The 30-year-old former Ipswich winger has been a free agent since leaving Celtic earlier in the season and recently spent some time on trial at Bolton Wanderers.

Kevin Blackwell may make a move if he decides to let John Oster go back to Sunderland after his loan period ends in the New Year.

Petta revealed both Wigan and Leeds have enquired about his services.

"The past few days, Leeds United and Wigan Athletic have called me," he said. "Wigan manager Paul Jewell especially wants to sign me very badly. The chance that I will go to that club is reasonably big."
