Leeds Issue Statement On Standing

Last updated : 08 February 2005 By Kevin Markey

The club is coming under increased pressure to establish why supporters at Elland Road opt to persistently stand.

The issue of persistent standing is in the main restricted to those supporters who use the Revie Stand or the North East Corner.

We are, over the next two weeks, going to contact all the season ticket holders in these two areas with a questionnaire to help us understand why supporters stand up.

One of the suggestions is that it is the purchasers of match tickets on an individual game basis rather the season ticket holders that are the first to persist in standing, so for the Reading game only, we will not be selling match tickets for the North East Corner so the only supporters in the stand will be season ticket holders.

This will establish whether it is non season ticket holders that start the persistent standing.

We apologise if this causes any supporters inconvenience however, there are other areas of Elland Road available at the same admission price.

If you need any more information or details of availability of tickets, please do not hesitate to contact the Ticket Services Department on 0845 121 1992.
