Leeds close to sealing deal for Bayern Munich's Marc Roca

Leeds United are close to finalising a deal with Bayern Munich for midfielder Marc Roca, 90min understands.

The Whites have already been busy this off-season, concluding deals for Red Bull Salzburg pair Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen.

Having brought in a new forward and defender, Leeds boss Jesse Marsch is set to add a central midfielder added to his ranks in the shape of Roca.

The Spaniard has been with Bayern Munich since 2020, but has featured just 24 times in his two seasons in Bavaria.

Bayern are ready to move the 25-year-old on and Leeds have made their move to beat a host of clubs to his signature.

Wolves, West Ham and Eintracht Frankfurt have all been looking closely at Roca, while Villarreal, Sevilla and Real Betis from his native Spain have also kept in touch with Bayern. But Leeds' offer of around £12m should see them win the race.

Leeds are hoping that they can get a deal for Roca sealed this week as they do still fear rival interest, but sources suggest that they are very much in pole position to finalise a deal.

Despite a busy start to the window in terms of incomings, Leeds are bracing themselves to lose both Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips this summer. The Elland Road club are insistent that if they do leave, it will be on their terms and they will command over £100m combined for the duo.
