An offer of a permanent deal from Derby boss Billy Davies looks set to prize him to Pride Park. The former Burnley player would have provided Kevin Blackwell with another option at left-back alongside another former Celtic defender, Stephen Crainey.

Camara is believed to have been offered a two-year contract at Pride Park, and the option of a permanent deal proved appealing to a player who turned 31 in June.
