Healy has missed Leeds' break in France, where they are due to play Rodez Aveyron in a friendly, in order to consult a specialist.
The 26-year-old striker has been unable to train but has played through the pain since sustaining the injury for his country in a World Cup qualifier in Austria last month.
Healy has started only four of the last seven matches for Leeds on the substitutes' bench as he has been struggling to complete a full 90 minutes.
