Leeds 4-3 Bournemouth: Player ratings as Whites produce remarkable comeback

From Elland Road - Leeds United produced fireworks on Bonfire night as they came from 3-1 down to beat Bournemouth 4-3.

After conceding to Rodrigo's early penalty, Bournemouth took control of the game and found themselves 3-1 up shortly after half-time thanks to goals from Marcus Tavernier, Philip Billing and Dominic Solanke.

But Leeds fought back brilliantly with second-half substitutes Sam Greenwood and Willy Gnonto inspiring them. Greenwood brilliantly curled home Leeds' second before sending in the corner for captain Liam Cooper to head them level.

Just six minutes from time, Leeds claimed the winner as Gnonto broke before threading a brilliant ball into the path of Crysencio Summerville - who kept his cool to fire home and give Jesse Marsch's men back-to-back league wins for the first time since March.

The game had started in breathtaking fashion as Leeds won a penalty in the opening embers; Summerville tripped in the area by Marcos Senesi.

Rodrigo stepped up to take and slammed the ball home, but their lead lasted less than five minutes as Bournemouth levelled with their first attack of the game.

Billing turned on the edge of the box to cross, Robin Koch's header away fell to Leeds-born Tavernier, and he volleyed home his first goal for Bournemouth.

Tavernier was loving his return to Leeds and on 11 minutes he created the second goal. He broke clear of Rasmus Kristensen and fired at goal, Illan Meslier parried and the former Middlesbrough man collected the ball and laid it into the path of Billing to side-foot into the top corner.

Bournemouth had numerous chances to extend their lead before the break - the best chance dropping to Kieffer Moore who saw his effort saved by Meslier.

Jesse Marsch made a change at half-time, with Italian Willy Gnonto thrown on to replace Jack Harrison, but Bournemouth soon extended their lead. Countering from a corner, Jefferson Lerma gave the ball to Billing, who in turn fed Tavernier. His delivery into the box was then superbly back-heeled in by Dominic Solanke for his third goal of the season.

Marsch again made a change, and this one paid off straight away as he brought on Greenwood for Marc Roca. Bournemouth failed to clear their lines and Greenwood picked up the ball on the edge of the box and brilliantly curled home beyond Mark Travers.

That changed the mood of the whole game and on 68 minutes Leeds were level. This time a Greenwood corner deep into the box was met by Cooper, and he headed the ball beyond Travers.

Bournemouth substitute Jack Stacey almost gave the away side the lead once more, but it was Leeds' supporters who went home delirious after Gnonto played a brilliant ball into the path of Summerville, who fired home the winner for a second straight week.
