Striker picks up September accolade.

German striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga has been crowned the Leeds United Louis Erard Player of the Month for September.

Over 2,000 Leeds fans cast their vote with 62% of you favouring the forward, who beat off competition from the 23% who chose Kalvin Phillips and 15% that selected Pablo Hernandez to win the award.

Lasogga joined the Whites on transfer deadline day and scored twice on his debut against Burton Albion in the first game of September.

He went on to find the net in the 3-2 victory against Ipswich Town in our last game at Elland Road, whilst created both goals in the 2-0 win against Birmingham City.

Speaking after winning the award Lasogga said: "This award is really nice to receive and I want to thank the supporters for voting for me, along with my team-mates who have been great to play with everyday since I joined the club.

“My aim now is to perform well in October and every month going forward."

Pierre has received a Louis Erard time piece as his prize for winning the award and our Supporter of the Month, who will also receive a time piece from Louis Erard, will be revealed ahead of Saturdays game against Reading.
