Speaking to tribalfootball.com his agent, Bernie Mandic (who also represents Harry Kewell) said, "This is a fantastic opportunity for Patrick. He's going to Leeds in excellent form and I'm sure he'll do himself justice."

"Along with Ljubo Milicevic, Kisnorbo is the best young defensive talent Australia has produced in recent years and is destined to do great things on the European stage."

Leeds United chief scout Ian Broomfield told the official Leeds United website, "We have had good reports about the player and it will be nice to have a look at him. We had hoped that he would come over this weekend but South Melbourne have one or two important matches coming up so it will be a week or two before he arrives."

Kisnorbo is rated as one of the hottest prospects in Australian football., and is said to be 'over the moon' with the opportunity to link up with Leeds.

Meanwhile injured Leeds United defender Lucas Radebe has signalled his intent on regaining full fitness, and returning to the side. "I'm still hoping to get fit and play again this season. I've no intention of calling it a day just yet," said the South African international.
