"The biggest compliment I can give him is that Peter Reid is thinking about him for the weekend (against Blackburn).
"If Peter decides to go that way then I thoroughly support him. He has asked me about the boy and I've told him he's been tremendous, on and off the pitch.
"Loan signings don't always come off. This one most certainly has and I just hope the lad can finish off his time here with another good display tonight.
"His contribution in the short time he's been with us has been outstanding."
