Key Dates For 2021/2022 Season

With Leeds United's Premier League fixtures for the 2021/22 season now announced, take a look at the key information you need below for the new campaign.

 

Who do Leeds play in the opening fixture of the season?

Leeds United will travel to Old Trafford to take on arch-rivals Manchester United.  The fixture is scheduled to take place on Saturday 14th August 2021, but may be altered subject to broadcast selections.

 

When is Leeds’ first home match?

Leeds welcome Everton to Elland Road on Saturday 21st August 2021.  The Whites will be hoping for a similar result to the first home game of last season, which saw Leeds take three points in a 4-3 victory against Fulham.

 

When are we playing our rivals?

Of course, in the first game of the season away against Manchester United! Leeds travel to fellow rivals Chelsea on Saturday 11th December 2021.  Manchester United are due to visit Elland Road on Saturday 19th February 2022, whilst our home match with Chelsea is scheduled for Saturday 16th April 2022, but the latter may be altered due to the Emirates FA Cup semi-final.

 

Who are the festive fixtures against?

Leeds have three home games over the festive period, starting with Arsenal on Saturday 18th December 2021.  The Whites will travel to Liverpool on Boxing Day (Sunday 26th December 2021), before hosting Aston Villa on Tuesday 28th December 2021.  Burnley will then visit Elland Road on New Year’s Day (Saturday 1st January 2022), rounding off the festive period.

 

Who are the Easter fixtures against?

Leeds have just one fixture scheduled for the Easter weekend, with Chelsea set to visit Elland Road on Saturday 16th April 2022.  However, should one of the two sides reach the Emirates FA Cup semi-final, this game will be postponed.

 

Who is the last home game of the season against?

The last home game of the season will take place on the penultimate weekend and see Leeds United host Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday 15th May 2022.

 

Who is the last game of the season against?

Our final match of the campaign will take place on Sunday 22nd May 2022 away at newly promoted Brentford.

 

When do you know if games will get moved for TV?

All fixture updates will be announced via www.leedsunited.com as soon as possible once broadcast selections have been made.  Supporters are encouraged not to make travel arrangements prior to broadcast selections being made.

 

Who has broadcast rights in the UK for the Premier League?

Games will feature on Amazon Prime, Sky Sports and BT Sport.  BBC have highlight rights for Match of the Day.

 

When are the international weekends during the season?

There are five weekends in the campaign for internationals.  These are the following weekends:

International weekend 1: 3-5 September 2021

International weekend 2: 8-10 October 2021

International weekend 3: 12-14 November 2021

International weekend 4: 28-30 January 2022

International weekend 5: 25-27 March 2022

 

When will the FA Cup fixtures be played?

Third round: 7-9 January 2022

Fourth round: 4-6 February 2022

Fifth round: 1-3 March (midweek) 2022

Quarter final: 18-20 March 2022

Semi-final: 15-17 April 2022

Final: Sat 14 May 2022

 

When will Carabao Cup fixtures be played?

Second round: W/C 23 August 2021

Third round: W/C 20 September 2021

Fourth round: W/C 25 October 2021

Quarter final: W/C 20 December 2021

Semi-finals: W/C 3 January 2022 & 10 January 2022

Final: Sunday 27th February 2022
