After the game Kelly admitted the prospect of taking on a backroom role at Drogheda was appealing.
He told the Irish Daily Star: "I’ve spoken to Drogheda manager Paul Doolin about the possibility of something and you never know what’s around the corner. But I don’t think I’ll play for Drogheda – I’d probably let them down! But you never know – maybe a coaching role would be nice."
