Joachim will become a free agent this month when his contract expires at Coventry City, who have been unable to agree terms with the 29-year-old on a new deal.
The former England U-21 star turned down a new deal with the Sky Blues after they offered him only around half of his current £12k a week.
He has played Premiership football with Leicester City and Aston Villa.
