Jermaine Looking The Man

Right-sided midfielder Pennant, on a 2 month-loan from Premiership leaders Arsenal, made all three Leeds goals with a delicate pass for Lamine Sakho's opener, a corner for Zoumana Camara's equaliser and then the through ball for Mark Viduka.

"We're fortunate to have Jermaine, he's a very good player," Peter Reid said. "He has great energy and gets back in defensive roles when required. He's a threat. His feet are quick and he can get that ball and go at people. In modern football if you can go past people and deliver that final ball then you've got a chance.

"Now we look really dangerous in attack. We have more options and have pace so when the game's stretched we're as good as anybody."

Aaron Lennon, 16, also sparkled in a brief cameo appearance.
