Injured Howson Misses U21 Clash

The 22-year-old midfielder was initially placed on stand-by for the friendly against Denmark in Viborg and the clash with Iceland at Preston on Monday.

Howson then received a call-up and was due to meet up with Stuart Pearce's squad ahead of the Iceland match after Leicester loanee Ben Mee pulled out due to injury.

The Leeds skipper made his debut for the U-21s as a 60th-minute substitute in the 1-0 defeat to Italy in Empoli last month.
